A talk with an Engineer

Many engineers working in even large software firms are fools in reality.I have been an engineering student and the 'job' condition (I am talking about 'employment') is something like - Infosys wants this, Wipro wants that and TCS is asking for it all! You must know the following for facing an interview:

  • Java
  • C / C++
  • .NET (now there are languages in the word '.NET' and no one knows or realizes that you can learn one or all of them, but there is nothing to learn '.NET' as such!)
  • PHP
  • Python
  • XML
  • HTML

And so on...

There was a small shop behind my college for tea, smokes and stuff like that. A few software company buildings were close too and engineers (so called) would come down there during their breaks. Often, I would meet someone there, talking about how tough it is to get the project done within the deadlines.

Once, I had a talk to a fellow who was with another guy and here is the conversation (The content inside [square brackets] are my 'thoughts' while the conversation was going on):

I went near him and uttered... "Hi"

The effect was such that all companies had to introduce per second plans. But was that all? No, it was not.

Samsung is one of the leading phone manufacturers. Although here in India, phones are at times synonymous to Nokia, a large group of people have started to listen more than they did.
